About Coastal Legacy Law

At Coastal Legacy Law, we are more than an estate planning and elder law firm; we are educators, guides, and advocates for families navigating some of life’s most important and often overwhelming decisions.

We focus on helping families protect what matters most while avoiding the stress, cost, and uncertainty of probate and aging-related challenges. Our approach is rooted in education, compassion, and clarity, ensuring every client feels confident—not confused—about their plan.

Internally, we are a high-accountability, team-first environment. We support one another, communicate openly, and take ownership of outcomes. We don’t believe in “just doing the work,” we believe in doing it well, continuously improving, and showing up for both clients and our team.

We are also deeply committed to our community. Through workshops, partnerships, and outreach, we aim to become a trusted, recognizable resource for families across Volusia County. We have an office in New Smyrna Beach and DeLand, but serve all of the surrounding areas + all across Florida virtually.

If you are looking for a role where you can:

  • Build meaningful relationships
  • Make a real impact on people’s lives
  • Be part of a collaborative, growth-minded team
  • And be accountable for measurable results

…you’ll fit right in.

Compensation:

$24 hourly

Responsibilities:

What You’ll Own

Events (End-to-End)

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute firm events
  • Increase attendance and engagement
  • Serve as host/MC at events
  • Present at smaller community events
  • Build relationships with attendees
  • Guide attendees toward booking Legal Life Planning Sessions (LLPS)

Referral Partner Growth

  • Build and maintain referral relationships
  • Track referrals (inbound/outbound)
  • Develop partnerships that generate clients
  • Execute thoughtful partner touchpoints and gifting

Community Outreach

  • Visit 5+ local businesses weekly
  • Represent the firm at events and networking opportunities
  • Build partnerships for workshops and collaborations
  • Manage sponsorships and maximize visibility

Client Referral Support

  • Strengthen client relationships to encourage referrals
  • Track and recognize referring clients
  • Support gifting and “surprise & delight” efforts

Reporting & Accountability

  • Maintain accurate tracking of outreach and results
  • Monitor event performance and referral activity
  • Use data to improve outcomes over time
Qualifications:

Required (Must-Haves)

  • 2+ years of experience in community outreach, events, relationship management, business development, or similar people-facing roles
  • Demonstrated ability to turn conversations or relationships into measurable outcomes (sales, bookings, referrals, partnerships)
  • Strong verbal communication skills and confidence engaging with individuals and small groups
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through consistently
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of results
  • Willingness to attend community events and occasionally work evenings/weekends
  • Reliable transportation to service all of Volusia County
  • Ability to lift 30+ lbs and independently carry all marketing and event-related materials to and from the office > your car > to the venue

Preferred (Nice-to-Haves)

  • Experience in professional services (legal, healthcare, financial, senior services)
  • Event planning or coordination experience
  • Experience with CRM systems, spreadsheets, or tracking/reporting tools
  • Background in account management, client relations, or referral-based roles

Critical Success Traits (What We’re Really Looking For)

  • Relationship Builder with Follow-Through: You don’t just connect—you move relationships forward
  • Comfortable Guiding Decisions: You can confidently recommend next steps when someone needs help
  • Outcome-Oriented: You care about results, not just activity
  • Highly Organized: You track details, follow up, and don’t drop balls
  • Proactive: You take initiative without waiting for direction
  • Solution-Minded: You bring ideas and next steps—not just problems

What Will NOT Work in This Role

  • Prefers relationship-building but avoids asking for next steps
  • Dislikes tracking, reporting, or being measured on performance
  • Waits for direction instead of taking initiative
  • Struggles with follow-through or organization
  • Is uncomfortable being accountable for outcomes
