Job Description

We are partnering with a growing law firm seeking a Legal Operations Administrator to serve as a key member of the leadership team. This is a high-impact, executive-level role responsible for overseeing the firm’s business operations, strategy, and non-attorney staff —functioning similarly to a COO/Controller in a corporate environment.

This individual will work closely with firm leadership to drive operational efficiency, profitability, and long-term growth .

What You’ll Do

Leadership & Strategy

• Partner with firm leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, and growth initiatives
• Lead quarterly and annual planning across revenue, staffing, and operations
• Oversee performance management, compensation, and team development for all non-attorney staff

Operations & Systems

• Build, optimize, and scale firmwide systems across:
• Case workflows and operations
• Billing, collections, and financial processes
• HR, recruiting, and performance management
• Identify operational gaps and implement solutions to improve efficiency and profitability

Workflow & Case Management

• Oversee case pipeline and ensure matters move efficiently through each stage
• Partner with attorneys to improve workflows, quality, and outcomes

Finance & Administration

• Oversee financial operations , including budgeting, reporting, billing, and collections
• Monitor key performance metrics and overall financial health
• Manage vendors, office operations, and technology needs

Human Resources

• Lead HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and policy development
• Manage organizational structure, job descriptions, and employee development

Marketing & Business Operations

• Oversee marketing and intake functions, tracking lead generation and conversion metrics
• Ensure systems are in place for consistent client follow-up and growth

What You Bring

• Leadership experience managing teams and business operations
• Background in professional services (law firm experience strongly preferred)
• Experience with budgeting, HR, and operational strategy
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills
• Tech-savvy with a focus on systems, process improvement, and scalability
