Job Details Position: Valet Driver – Embassy Suites, Nashville Starting Pay: $14‑$18 per hour (plus cash tips) Schedule: Overnight / 3rd shift preferred; all weekdays, weekends, holidays are available. Seasonal and temporary positions are not eligible for benefits. Responsibilities The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. Primary duties include: Maintaining a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients. Acknowledging and greeting guests within five feet using a professional and friendly demeanor and addressing them by last name. Using a salutation and welcoming guests to the location while practicing proper phone etiquette. Parks and retrieves vehicles safely and cautiously. Assists guests with bell services, luggage storage, opening all vehicle and hotel doors, and providing directions. Provides assistance with taxis, reservations, and other inquiries, and conveys information about facility amenities and local attractions. Delivers messages, items, and guest amenities, and shuttles guests to approved locations. Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests. Issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys, collects claim checks prior to issuing keys, and records all ticket information (key tag, folio, vehicle location, damage survey, claim check receipt). Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when required. All responsibilities collectively comprise 100% of the job. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) degree. Licensure: Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment. Experience: One month of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge: Customer service principles and processes. Skills: Read and write standard English. Comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence. Present information in one‑to‑one and small group settings. Perform basic arithmetic with American currency. Understand 24‑hour, military time, and time‑based rates. Operate a manual transmission vehicle and perform parallel parking. Working Conditions & Physical Demands Work requires frequent sitting or standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 100 pounds. The job is performed outdoors in varying temperatures and requires positive communication with guests. Ability to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and balance is necessary.
