Job Title: Safety and Security Site Supervisor

Department: Safety andSecurity

Reports To: Area Security Manager

ROLE SUMMARY

The Safety and Security Site Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and directing all safety and security operations for Trulieve at their assigned location. The Safety and Security Site Supervisor (SS) works to ensure that visitors and employees are provided a safe and secure environment and receive responsive and respectful assistance for their security needs. The SS proactively identifies safety and security risks to Trulieve, its facilities, and employees, and implements policies, procedures, training, and operations to address those risks and increase awareness. The SS assists with managing and directing contract service providers and ensures compliance with regulatory and contract requirements.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Write or review safety and security related documents, such as investigations, incident reports, and proposals.
• Train subordinate staff or other organization members in safety and security rules and procedures.
• Plan safety and security needs for special and high-risk events.
• Project operating costs for operations.
• Order supplies and equipment as needed.
• Coordinate on site operations or activities with law enforcement, fire, EMS and other first responders.
• Assist in emergency management and contingency planning.
• Arrange for or perform executive protection activities.
• Respond to medical emergencies, bomb threats, fire alarms, or intrusion alarms, following emergency response procedures.
• Identify, investigate, or resolve security breaches.
• Monitor policies, programs or procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct physical examinations of property to identify risks or opportunities for improvement in safety and security operations.
• Create or implement standards, policies, and procedures.
• Communicate status, updates, and actual or potential problems, using established protocols.
• Supervise subordinate safety and security professionals, performing activities such as hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, or disciplining.
• Plan, direct, or coordinate activities to safeguard company assets, employees, guests, or others on company property.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Coordinate and respond to all regulatory agencies (OSHA, DEP, EPA) in a timely manner.
• Conduct routine safety inspections & audits of all departments.
• Assess jobs and perform job safety analysis.
• Work to reduce DART times.
• Continue to work towards building a safety culture.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• BA degree or higher in related field of study. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered, including internal experience (year for year management experience can be substituted for required degree).
• 5+ years experience as a first responder, corporate security, or safety supervisor.
• Prior experience leading a staff of 10 or more
• OSHA 30 Certification or the ability to obtain within 60 days of employment.
• Experience in training, creating training lesson plans and implementing training programs preferred.
• Proven ability to analyze data and draw appropriate conclusions to inform policies and procedures.
• Ability to properly investigate a situation and draw sound conclusions.
• Must be and remain compliant with local, state, and federal laws, statutes, and regulations; particularly those related to working in the cannabis industry.
• Must function independently, have flexibility, and personal integrity.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to respectfully and politely interact with customers and team members.
• Proficient in the use of personal computers to perform daily work. Familiar with the Microsoft Office suite of programs, including Excel and SharePoint.
• Project management skills.
• Must be at least 21 years of age (or at least 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background screen

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
• Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
• Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
• Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)

WORK SCHEDULE:

45+ hrs./wk., with availability after hours if necessary; occasional weekends

Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure requirements of this position can be fully met. Due to the nature of our business, it is advocated that when representing Trulieve that our professionalism meets the needs of the medical patient base that we respectively serve. To uniformly align with the organization, an individual must be able to provide a level of communication that aligns respectively with the diversification of our patients which may exhibit opportunities to assess the situation and apply meaningful service. In addition, must be able to quickly identify and insert additional support where needed to deescalate situations without compromising Trulieves objective in serving our patient base with excellent customer service.
