Pay Rate: $23 - $25 Hourly, DOE
Job Overview:
Delta Security Services is seeking a professional Armed Security Guard to provide security at a busy nightclub. This position is ideal for someone with experience in security and a commitment to maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for guests. As a Night Club Security Guard, you will be responsible for searching individuals entering the venue, checking IDs, preventing weapons or contraband from entering, and protecting the venue's staff and patrons. The role requires teamwork, the ability to handle high-energy, fast-paced situations, and enforcing the Liquor Title 4 laws.
Responsibilities:
Person Search & Security Check:
- Conduct searches of individuals entering the nightclub to ensure no weapons, contraband, or prohibited items are brought into the venue
- Maintain a high level of security at all access points and monitor for any signs of disturbances or suspicious activity
ID Checks & Age Verification:
- Check IDs of all patrons entering the nightclub to ensure they are 21 years of age or older
- Handle customer interactions professionally and respectfully while ensuring compliance with age restrictions
Drunk and Disorderly Persons:
- Handle and de-escalate situations involving intoxicated or disorderly individuals
- Ensure the safety of staff and patrons by taking appropriate action in line with security protocols
- Protect the venue by enforcing Liquor Title 4 laws, ensuring that patrons are not overly intoxicated or disruptive
Teamwork & Communication:
- Work in collaboration with other security staff to ensure the safety of guests, employees, and the venue
- Maintain clear communication with fellow team members and management regarding incidents, disturbances, or concerns
Incident Response:
- Respond quickly and professionally to any security-related incidents, including potential altercations, disturbances, or emergencies
- De-escalate situations when possible and seek assistance from law enforcement if necessary
Patrol & Monitoring:
- Monitor the interior and exterior of the venue to maintain safety and security during operating hours
- Remain alert to the actions of patrons and report any suspicious behavior or activity
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must have a valid Arizona Armed Guard License (current and in good standing)
- Must have a Firearm Qualification Card (AZ DPS)
- Arizona Title 4 Basic Liquor Law Training is preferred
- Minimum 21 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the location
- Ability to handle stressful situations and manage conflicts in a calm and professional manner
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with the public respectfully
- Ability to stand for long periods and conduct searches and ID checks
- Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in nightclub, bar, or event security
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
