About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Community Engagement Officer (CCEO) to serve as a senior leader dedicated to fostering engaged scholarship, meaningful community service, and sustainable partnerships. The CCEO will be responsible for providing leadership and supervision of community engagement, coordinating and facilitating engagement work across the institution, and collaborating with various offices and committees. This role is pivotal in implementing strategies that align with the company's strategic vision, showcasing its ties with the community, and serving as a catalyst for the growth of the community engagement enterprise. The successful candidate will also be expected to lead professional development in community-based research, foster positive relations with local communities, and ensure that the company's policies and culture are in line with its community engagement goals. Candidates for the CCEO position at the company must have an earned terminal degree, at least 10 years of experience in higher education and community-engaged work, and a background as a tenure-track faculty member. The role requires a leader with a strong commitment to engaged scholarship, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record in strategic planning and execution. The CCEO will be expected to cultivate new engagement opportunities, oversee a community-engaged research center, and lead the assessment of engagement elements within the strategic vision. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, collaboration with diverse partners, and a passion for the company's mission.
