SUMMARY: Supports all aspects of cash receipt and collection activities on all client accounts. Develops relationships across gatc and client organizations to collaboratively resolve concerns impacting the accuracy and timeliness of client bank deposits and customer account balances.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process all cash receipt types, ACH, credit card, deposit, progress payment, etc.
  • Reviews, edits, and balances daily cash receipt postings.
  • Seeks approval for all cash receipt adjustments prior to posting.
  • Researches and processes unidentified receipts in a timely manner.
  • Recommends cash receipt strategies and/or efforts.
  • Provides backup to co-workers while away or during peak periods.
  • Escalates issues/problems to supervisor for resolution.
  • Performs detailed account reconciliations as needed to resolve complex disputed receivable issues.
  • Processes credit applications; provides appropriate terms and credit limits.
  • Performs collections account management with problematic clients, obtaining timely payments.
  • Prepares weekly aging report and places delinquent accounts on credit hold after proactively communicating with clients to request payment and resolve disputed invoices.
  • Negotiates payment on undisputed past due accounts.
  • Monitors all accounts for possible bad debt write-off and proactively initiates credit limit reviews.
  • Communicates status of account problems on a regular basis to supervisor and client.
  • Prepares monthly client account analysis summaries.
  • Maintains credit history files; reviews and approves credit limits; responds to credit inquiries.
  • Recommends collection strategies and/or efforts.
  • Assists with related special projects as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of two-year certificate from college or technical school, two years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook; in ERP accounting systems, online customer portals, online banking.
  • Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.

  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
